Winners of the ACTR Competition

Congratulations to the winners of the Ninth Annual ACTR National
Post-Secondary Russian Essay Contest. There were over 100 students from 37
institutions throughout the United States who won gold, silver, bronze, or
honorable mention certificates.

In this year’s contest, there were 723 essays submitted from 50 universities and colleges across the nation. 67 Rutgers students entered the national competition and 14 won awards. Each essay was ranked by three judges in Russia, and often the results were simply too close to call.

Topic: “Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
